Fable III to have no HUD

Peter Molyneux’s confirmed at X10 that there will be no health bar and no HUD in Fable III. The news is what the Lionhead boss feared people would be “pissed” about. He insisted the RPG would be taking cues from recent action titles, with enviromental graphic changes showing you how close you are to being dead. “Look at the screen! It’s completely clean,” said Molyneux, speaking at a presentation of the game, watched by Wired. “Why do we need the fucking health bar,” he further added. Fable III is due out this holiday season for Xbox 360.

PS3 Torne DVR has trophy support

Sony’s released a fact-sheet on its new DVR for Japan, known as Torne, which reveals it’ll get trophy support. One instance of support for the service, would be if you were to watch the final episode of a long-running season of a TV show – you would get a trophy known as “Master of Final Episodes”, according to this week’s Famitsu. No extra details on how trophy support would work for the DVR, were revealed. Wii sales jump by 60% for Q4

Nintendo has confirmed that sales for the Wii has jumped by 60% for Q4, also stating that it was the best-selling home console of last week. Blizzard says Cataclysm will “shake up” WoW

C&C4 officially announced 2010 'PC only'

EA’s just come clean on C&C4’s development by issuing the press release it alluded to yesterday. Get it after the break. It’s out in 2010 for PC. No consoles are mentioned in the announcement. Additions include class-based gameplay, mobile bases and persistent player progression throughout all game modes.

The game also includes 5v5 objective-based multiplay. A BattleCast PrimeTime episode on July 24 will offer more. Gametrailers TV will exclusively reveal the first cinematic trailer on July 23.
