Oh, hello? Whats this? Oh look, party chat for the 360 is blocked while playing Modern Warfare 2. According to TSA (via GAF), the feature can not be used while playing the multiplayer for the game.

It is down to avoiding cheating in the game, which means that if you want to speak with your friends in the game, it has to be done in the channel in-game.

Could this be the downfall of party chatting since more game companies will probably start following MW2? I hope not because if somebody wants to cheat, there is a thing called a "Phone"

the reason they blocked it is cause ppl on seperate teams used to tell each other where the opposing team was. u can go in parties in certain game modes. another reason is they did it to get ppl to interact with each other and use teamwork to win.i think it is a good idea

Maybe it's just me but i don't think it's a good idea at all! Because couldn't the other player pick up the phone or skype their friend on the opposing team and give him/her the locations of the other players? Hell they could even use teamspeak to communicate with each other in private.

Just by taking out private chat in CoD mw2 will not stop it.
