![]() When BioWare goes, it goes large. If you’re currently praying for another 40,000 hours of Dragon Age and Mass Effect content, fear not: Dr Ray’s got you covered. “We like to support our games long-term,” BioWare founder Muzyka told IGN. “Our fans are really important to us, and we try and support them. We have long-term plans for both Dragon Age and Mass Effect.” And when he says “support”, that’s what he means. Support. Products. Games. Not some bloody costume for €4.23 on PSN. “We have a separate team running in parallel as part of the franchise team,” he added. “You know, people are moving back and forth, but we’ve made a dedicated investment in DLC for Dragon Age and Mass Effect, so we’re going to support them for a long time. “Stand alone products, expansion packs, things like that as well.” BioWare’s just shipped Mass Effect 2 to the ejaculatory thrill of pretty much everyone, from the look of it, so you should be pleased. Be pleased, why don’t you. There’s a full interview through there. More on Dragons Age is on the way, EA’s confirmed in its Q3 FY10 results the recently announced Dragon Age title due in Q4 FY11 will be coming to handhelds as well as PC and consoles. When it was released in 2009, Dragon Age: Origins was released on PS3, 360 and PC. BioWare’s only mentioned Dragon Age 2 only once, which was from co-founder Greg Zeschuck, saying how “super hot” it’ll look graphically. It was confirmed for a release tonight alongside Dead Space 2, the shooter it’s publishing from Epic and an unknown downloadable action title between January – March 2011. We also like to announce that some new DLC will be arriving tomorrow. Mass Effect 2’s Cerberus Network will add new items to the RPG tomorrow, namely some armour and a shotgun. Fighty. Here’s what you’re going to get, as confirmed here:
There are some screens of the super-hot armour in action here. Last thing to report is that EA’s just confirmed it’s bringing “something far-reaching” for Mass Effect is coming next year. We’re unsure who said it at the time, we think it might have been EA COO John Schappert, but the comapny did say it would be coming in the company’s Q4 FY11 line-up, which translates into January – March 2011. We think the firm also mentioned something about the Cereberus Network for Mass Effect 2, but we’re not exactly sure exactly what. We’ll look at the transcript tomorrow morning and see what it was. Enjoy!
